Emran is one of about 500 middle and high school students per year who are benefiting from Phoenix Bikes, a nonprofit community bike shop in South Arlington that educates youth.
While students learn mechanics, they are also learning problem solving skills, team work, the value of giving back to their neighbors, and scores of other success skills for life. We are also a full-service community bike shop, providing affordable repair services, refurbished bikes, and used bike parts to ensure that biking is accessible for the broader community. This NBC video report shares more about why our bike shop is so special.
Interested in making Arlington bike-a-licious? You can donate used bikes, which we refurbish for sale or use as youth projects. You can also join our robust volunteer program, where community members learn how to clean and fix bikes, provide event support, and participate in many other ways. And, our doors are always open for visitors. We recently moved into a new, sunny, shop space within the Arlington Mill Community Center and love showing it off!
