Arlington tech
CAPSTONE INTERNSHIPS AT ARLINGTON TECH: Arlington Tech, a dual enrolled (NOVA and APS)/STEM high school program located at the Arlington Career Center, requires students to complete a school year-long work-based internship during their senior year.
Businesses/organizations deciding to host an intern are committing to providing a work-based learning opportunity for 5-10 hours per week from Labor Day to Memorial Day.
Students receive an abridged course scheduled for their senior year so they can leave school early to work.
Arlington Tech offers a variety of classes and certifications to prepare students for the workforce. Many of our students complete these certifications and leave high school with a robust skill set.
Examples of classes and certifications:
A Capstone Coordinator and Partnership Coordinator will support students and partners during these internships. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students, but also helps businesses/organizations discover new talent and future leaders.

Kitchen of Purpose is an Arlington based nonprofit organization providing culinary, baking and front of house job training programs certified by Northern Virginia Community College and the American Culinary Federation. Our classes are offered in English and Spanish. We equip underserved individuals with food industry oriented skills, ServSafe, and AllerTrain certifications.
