Arlington Advocacy
Arlington has earned recognition for being a world-class community and a premiere location in which to work, live, and do business. The Chamber works hard through its local advocacy to ensure that our community doesn’t take its success for granted. A strong and vibrant business community provides the backbone to respond to the challenges Arlington faces.
The Chamber advocates on behalf of the overall business community, as well as for individual members. We maintain strong working relationships with the Arlington County Business Ombudsman and key County staff members and public officials, and work hard to connect members with the appropriate people to help with their specific issues.
The Chamber’s annual Local Policy Positions, adopted by our Board of Directors, guide our local advocacy. Below are examples of the Chamber’s local advocacy efforts, on a variety of topics.
