Business Advocacy
The Arlington Chamber of Commerce provides a united voice for Arlington’s business community. Located just across the Potomac River from our nation’s capital, Arlington is home to a diverse business community comprising home offices and sole proprietors, brick and mortar storefronts, global corporate headquarters, and everything in between. We work hard to bring together our members’ experience, knowledge, and commitment to help the Arlington community thrive. With the weight of the local business community behind us, the Chamber advocates to strengthen Arlington’s reputation as a great place to do business.
Each year the Chamber's Board of Directors adopts the Chamber's Public Policy Positions for the Virginia General Assembly session and the Arlington County Board. These documents guide the Chamber’s advocacy activities throughout the year. Because we know that businesses face challenges all year-round, the Chamber never stops advocating. We stay up to date with issues that members face, taking additional policy positions on time sensitive matters throughout the year.

Most of the Chamber’s business advocacy activities are in Arlington County or the Commonwealth of Virginia. Occasionally, the Chamber advocates on issues before the Federal government, when they have a direct impact on businesses in Arlington.
