Let’s face it. At some point, we’ve all experienced bad service or have been disappointed by the quality of a product. Such a situation can be infuriating, and for me, it makes me want to never go back to that business again.
It’s these negative experiences that make us that much more grateful for those who take special effort to make dealing with their business a positive experience. Here in Arlington, we are fortunate to have so many businesses that strive to deliver quality service and take special pride in top-notch customer care. They are the backbone of our economy and the essence of what makes Arlington such a fantastic place to live, work, and play.

Each year at the Chamber, we hold the Best Business Awards to honor some of these exceptional businesses – and this year, we are taking this event a step further. This ceremony serves as the only all-county celebration of businesses in Arlington, with the awards earned by businesses that deliver top quality of service to customers, are industry leaders or offer a unique approach to delivery of goods or services, and display an interest in and concern for the Arlington community. Best Business Awards are based on merit, not on popularity, and winners are judged and scored by past winners.
In order to grow this event and better honor all of the outstanding businesses, this year’s 31st Annual Best Business Awards, held on Tuesday, May 2 at the Key Bridge Marriott Hotel, will be elevated from a breakfast meeting to a fun, prestigious evening event. This enhanced event will include an exclusive VIP reception for past winners and fine dining. The ceremony will also feature inductions into the Arlington Business Hall of Fame, which honors men and women who have demonstrated a long record of successful management and business expertise, along with notable achievements and civic and community work.
We are thrilled to implement these fresh, new updates, which we believe will be increasingly valuable to the honorees, our membership, and the Arlington business community as a whole.
