One of the most overlooked, yet important aspects of membership here in the Arlington Chamber of Commerce is your business being listed on our members-only Business Directory page. Since that is a staple feature of joining the Chamber, a member might think that all they need is their basic contact information to be listed and they are done. While this is true, and the listing can contain just your address and phone number, I want to let you know about how to get the most out of your listing.

You can easily find our Member Directory at this link: https://web.arlingtonchamber.org/search. As you can see from the screenshot, there is the ability to search based on your industry. As a member, you can also be listed in multiple listings, giving your business extra exposure. You can also see that there is the ability for the website user to search by keywords. As a member, you can request to add in multiple keywords, giving your business the ability to be found even without going into the listings. To take advantage of that, please contact me and we can add those features in for you.
Being listed on the Arlington Chamber’s Business Directory often boosts your website’s SEO. We have often seen that a member’s listing tends to be second or third on a Google search, behind the company’s actual website. Beyond that, being listed on the Business Directory adds an element of credibility to your business. As an anecdote, I was talking to a member who recently joined the Chamber, and she told me that she got a direct credible lead as a result of their listing on our Directory.
Another feature that you can take advantage of is to personalize your Business Directory listing. You can post links to all your social media channels as well as write a longer description of your business and services that you provide.

This is another great way to get your name out there and offer a discount to other members or the general public.
