To my fellow Chamber members and people of the Arlington business community, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to join me and the Chamber for the 93rd Annual Arlington Business Gala. It will be held on January 28, 2017 at the Ritz Carlton, Pentagon City. Our Gala has been named “Arlington’s Best Night Out” for a reason - it is an absolute blast. This year marks my 14th year of attendance, as well as my third consecutive year of being the Chair of Gala Committee. I am incredibly proud of our success last year as the first Gala to sell out in over 20 years, with over 300 attendees! It is my goal to do it again this year.

Being from New Orleans, I am so excited that the theme this year is Mardi Gras. I would love to see everyone don their most festive attire and come celebrate this special time of the year. There will even be a special prize for the most festive attire. The Gala team has signed The Bachelor Boys band, who really put on a great show. My team and I are actively soliciting Silent Auction items, so if you or any of your favorite vendors would like to donate an item, we would appreciate all the help you can give. This year, we will be introducing a new onlineauction processing system which will allow everyone to not only preview the wonderful array of auction items PRIOR to the Gala, but you will also have the opportunity to bid or “buy it now” BEFORE the Gala even begins – now that’s cool!
With the great music, food, dancing, and top-of-the-line company, this event never disappoints and is one of my very favorites each year. I hope you'll join me in January for what is sure to be another is sure to be a fun and successful evening.
