Representing Arlington in Richmond:

The Chamber advocates for Arlington businesses in Richmond during the annual General Assembly session and throughout the year.

he Government Affairs Committee drafts and the Chamber Board of Directors approves annual General Assembly Public Policy Positions to guide our state-level advocacy work.
The Chamber responds to the Arlington County Board and Arlington School Board’s General Assembly policy requests, collaborating where we agree, and calling out where we do not.
The Chamber writes letters to the General Assembly and Commonwealth agencies to advocate for policies that are important for the Arlington business community.
Chamber staff and members testify regularly at General Assembly committee meetings on bills of importance to the Arlington business community.
Members participate with the Arlington Chamber in Chamber Day at the Capitol, hosted by the Virginia Chamber, including meetings which we organize with the members of Arlington’s General Assembly delegation.
The Chamber’s President & CEO serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (VACCE).
