Public Policy Events
The State of the County is an open forum that provides attendees the opportunity to listen to updates on the County's fiscal and developmental status from the Arlington County Board Chair and ask questions about issues affecting the business community. State of the County is a must-attend event for business leaders who are focused on government affairs and economic development.
“The Arlington State of the County event provides an outstanding chance to gain greater understanding about the current issues, challenges and opportunities here in Arlington. It is an event I consistently attend and for good reason: staying connected on a regular basis with County officials and fellow Chamber members is a meaningful way for Mason to stay on top of the latest news and share information about our university.” – Toni Andrews, George Mason University |

In addition to the annual State of the County, the Chamber hosts a variety of timely and relevant policy- and government-related events each year. Past programs include Viva Virginia, a free reception in Richmond co-hosted with other area Chambers. This event is offered exclusively to Arlington Chamber members and provides access to the Governor, as well as a number of legislators. We also host Arlington County Board Candidate Forums, which provide the business community the opportunity to hear from County Board candidates about issues pertinent to business in Arlington.
