Member AdvocacyThe vision of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce is to be the essential partner for business success. A key part of accomplishing this vision is advocating on behalf of our members when they have public policy concerns related to the Chamber’s policy positions.
For more information contact Government Affairs Manager, Scott Pedowitz, at (703) 525-2400 or [email protected]. Examples of the Chamber's member advocacy efforts may be found below:
The Chamber sent a letter to the Virginia State Health Commissioner encouraging the approval of a Certificate of Public Need (COPN) for an outpatient surgical hospital containing four operating rooms operated by Virginia Hospital Center. The Chamber sent a letter to the Site Plan Review Committee for the redevelopment of the Holiday Inn Rosslyn site encouraging the Committee to support the site plan application, particularly the applicant’s requested amount of parking on the site.
