2024 Trip to Thailand

The Arlington Chamber of Commerce is excited to partner for the eleventh time with Citslinc International, Inc. to offer our members, and the community, an all-inclusive unique opportunity to travel to Vietnam with fellow business colleagues and community members. The trip will be departing from Washington Dulles International Airport. 
 
From November 9 - 17, you will visit memorable sites, both ancient and modern, and enjoy a multitude of unforgettable experiences. Whether you’re interested in traveling for personal or professional reasons, this nine day trip provides an unparalleled opportunity. We are convinced that this will be one of the most unique trips you will ever take!

In addition to visiting memorable sites including Bangkok and Ayutthaya, travelers will visit Damneon Saduak, the famous floating market as well as Wat Phra Sing an old city from the 14th century.

Registration deadline: July 19, 2024.

​​A non-refundable deposit of $400/$500 (member early bird/member regular) or $600/$700 (non-member early bird/non-member regular) per person is required and due at the time of registration. The deposit will be deducted from your total trip fare, the balance of which will be due by the registration deadline of July 19. Visa and Passport are required for the trip.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 - Washington Dulles (IAD)/Bangkok

  • Check in at Washington Dulles (IAD) Airport for a connection flight to Bangkok.
  • ​Overnight on the flight.

Day 2 - Bangkok

  • Change the connection flight and arrive at Bangkok, the Capital of Thailand.
  • You will be met at the airport by your tour guide and transferred to the hotel. ​

Day 3 - Bangkok

Full day city tour includes:
  • The Wat Traimit, also know as Golden Buddha Temple,
  • Wat Pro, known as Reclining Buddha Temple, 
  • Grand Palace, as the residence of Kings of Bangkok, and
  • Wat Phra Keo, known as the Emerald Buddha Temple. 

Day 4 - Bangkok/Ayutthaya/Bangkok

  • Tour bus excursion to Ayutthaya, a ruined city built in 1350 AD, once the capital of Siam. 
  • Visit Wat Panana Choeng with a Buddha image of 60 feet long
  • Wat Yai Chai Mong Kol with its Victory Pagoda 200 feet high
  • Wat Maha That with a striking figure head swallowed by tree roots
  • On the way back to Bangkok, tour the Summer Palace Pang Pa Inn

Day 5 - Bangkok

  • Bus excursion to Maeklong Railway Market know as Talad Rom Hoop. 
  • Drive to visit Damnoen Saduak, the famous floating market. 
  • Return to Bangkok.

Day 6 - Bangkok/Chiang Mai

  • Morning flight to Chiang Mai.
  • Visit Wat Suan Dok, the temple with its 150 feet high Chedi. 
  • Continue to Wat Phra Sing in the old town and a large complex of more than 60 buildings before visiting 14th Century Wat Chedi Luang
  • Discover the nearby Wat Chet Yot and Wat Chiang Man, known for its numerous elephant sculptures 

Day 7 - Chiang Mai/Chiang Rai

  • Bus journey to Jiang Rai.
  • Visit Wat Rong Khun, nicknamed the White Temple. 
  • Also visit the Blue Temple, and the Thai Elephant Care Center.

Day 8 - Chiang Rai/Chiang Mai

  • Bus journey return Chiang Mai. 
  • On the way to visit Wararot Market, and the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, with panoramic view of the city. 
  • A cable car is ready for you instead of climbing with 309-step naga staircase. 
  • Shopping for gifts and souvenir before the end of trip.

Day 9 - Chiang Mai/Washington Dulles (IAD)

  • Connection flight to Washington Dulles (IAD) Airport. 
  • ​Arriving on the same day.
