About the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation
The Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a supporting organization to the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, was established to broaden and enhance our impact through initiatives aligned with a 501(c)(3) scope. The Foundation advances education and workforce development programs, including our highly successful Job Shadow Day, which connects high school students with real-world experiences at job sites across Arlington. The Foundation is also committed to supporting Arlington families through the launch of the Arlington Childcare Alliance in 2025, an initiative designed to address critical childcare needs in our community. Arlington Child Care Alliance
The Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation, through its Arlington Child Care Alliance initiative, has launched a new program to support family day home providers in Arlington. Launched on August 27, 2025, the Alliance establishes a network of trusted family day home providers to connect families with safe, reliable home-based care, equip providers with training and business support, foster peer collaboration, and give employers a powerful new way to support their workforce.
Job Shadow Day
Job Shadow Day is organized by the Chamber's Education and Workforce Development Committee, in partnership with Arlington Public Schools’ Career Center and The Sycamore School. Supported by the Arlington Chamber of Commerce Foundation, the committee fosters relationships between education and business to enhance Arlington’s future workforce. Each year, Job Shadow Day gives students firsthand exposure to real-world work environments, helping them explore career options, understand different industries, and make informed decisions about their future paths.
