Proclamation: Virginia Tech in Arlington Day

On December 7 at the Chamber's 83rd Annual Meeting the then Arlington County Chair Paul Ferguson declared December 7 as "Virginia Tech in Arlington Day". The President of Virginia Tech, Charles W. Steger, graciously served as the meeting's keynote speaker. He inspired us with his words of strength and vision as he reflected on the April 16, 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech. "Virginia Tech in Arlington Day" is to honor Steger's monumental speech and to further strengthen the ties between the university and our county.
