ABBIES Nominations Due March 29th!

The Arlington Chamber of Commerce and the Arlington Economic Development Commission are pleased to announce their 12th Annual ABBIES Awards to be presented on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 7:30 am at the Sheraton National Hotel in Arlington, Virginia. The ABBIES awards celebrate the achievements and contributions of Arlington businesses. Nominations are now being accepted and are due no later than March 29. All members of the public and press are invited and encouraged to attend.

Award Criteria:

• Must be a viable on-going, full-time business which has experienced significant growth or stability over its business life.
• Must be well known and thought of by its customers or clients for consistently delivering exceptional quality or service.
• Must be an industry leader in Arlington OR must have a unique approach to delivery of its goods or services.
• Must have displayed an interest in and concern for the Arlington community, either corporately or through its employees backed by the company.
• Businesses must be located in Arlington.

• Nominations are due Thursday, March 29, 2007! Nominate today!
• Please include all of your personal/business contact info 
• Please include nominee's company name, company contact name and info (address/phone/e-mail)
• Feel free to include comments regarding nomination

Fresh Aire                                                                  The Arlington Chamber of Commerce, working in conjunction with the Arlington County Board, is creating a list of member organizations that may wish to learn more about County Board Chairman Paul Ferguson’s Fresh AIRE environmental initiative.  Discussions are being planned over the next few months to determine how businesses can participate, save money, and show good citizenship. If you would like to be included and receive an invitation, please e-mail your interest to Chamber President Rich Doud no later than April 1.
