Working in coordination with
the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Office, the initiative is
designed to honor the service of our young men and women of the armed
services by giving them an opportunity to enjoy much needed, appreciated,
and unexpected free entertainment. Individuals
and corporations may donate to the initiative in three simple ways:
Once
the tickets are donated, Fort Myer MWR will distribute the free tickets
according to the following procedure: If fewer than 5 tickets,
MWR will give the tickets to Garrison Chief Sergeant Major (CSM), who will
then distribute them directly to enlisted soldiers If more than 5 tickets, MWR
will distribute them in conjunction with a scheduled MWR event, if time
permits, or distribute the tickets to enlisted personnel on a “first
come, first served basis.” An email will be sent to all units notifying
them when tickets are available.
Northern Virginia's energy needs have grown by 40 percent in the last 10 years, and increasing population and technological evolution will require additional power capacity in the coming years. The Chamber believes that an adequate energy supply is critical to the economic health of Arlington County and Northern Virginia. Dominion Virginia Power has demonstrated a clear need for additional energy transmission to meet the growing needs of the area. The Chamber supports Dominion's efforts to make the necessary capital improvements to accomplish this transmission initiative.
Throughout the campaign, volunteers will have the opportunity to attend campaign events at Arlington's hottest venues, network with old Chamber friends and new acquaintances, garner exceptional visibility for their organization and win fabulous prizes and cash incentives. Teams are being formed now! You must attend a team training session to be a part of TRD. Click here for times. If you are interested in participating in this exciting endeavor or if you already are participating, please e-mail Deborah or call the Chamber at 703-525-2400 to set up a time for training. We will provide you with the tools you need to make this a successful 2007. TRD - Strengthening the Bond in 007 Business After Business
